Dr. Goldenberg is a founder and vice president of the Endocrine & Brain Injury Research Alliance, SPC. He has dedicated his career to teaching others how to critically evaluate medical literature. He has published numerous papers in high-impact scientific journals including JAMA, BMJ, Annals of Internal Medicine and The Cochrane Library. Dr. Goldenberg has presented nationally and internationally on evidence-based medicine and research methodologies with his work highlighted by the BBC and The New York Times, among others. His research publications have been ranked within the top 5% of all research tracked by Altmetric.
Dr. Goldenberg’s research areas include traumatic brain injury, irritable bowel syndrome, evidence-informed practice, and research methodologies. He is an Associate Research Investigator at the Helfgott Research Institute where he instructs post-graduate students in advanced research synthesis methods. He is also faculty for the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine’s Interprofessional Fellowship in Integrative Health and Medicine, where he teaches critical evaluation of the medical literature and evidence-informed practice. He is a past Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Technology Sydney, as well as past adjunct faculty at Bastyr University where he taught evidence-informed practice. In addition, he is a diplomate in Forensic Medical Science (Dipl.FMS) and currently working on a PhD in Forensic Epidemiology.
Dr. Goldenberg is a co-founder of, and key personnel for the Neurotrauma Evidence Synthesis Training (NEST) Pilot Project (RAND Reach Grant) in his role leading evidence-synthesis training and research methodology.
